Anchor in New York
Meet new
people
in NYC.
New to the city, or ready to meet people outside your usual circle? Anchor brings people in their twenties together through social events in New York City.
November 12 · Tribeca · Host approval required

You don’t need
a group first.
Moving to New York doesn’t come with a built-in group of friends. Anchor started with that feeling: wanting to get out, do something, and have someone to do it with.
Our gatherings give you a reason to start talking. You can come on your own or bring a friend. The plan changes from event to event, so check the details before you register.

Before you
head out.
Choose your plan. Read the event page for the activity, date, neighborhood, and registration details. If you’re unsure about the atmosphere, look through our past NYC gathering.
Register on Luma. Follow the instructions for that event. Check whether each guest needs a separate RSVP and whether host approval is required. A submitted request is not a confirmed spot when approval is required.
Check your confirmation. Look for the confirmed time, location, and any arrival instructions. Keep your confirmation handy before leaving.
A few things to know
First time?
Can I come if I don’t know anyone?
Yes. You don’t need to know the hosts or belong to an existing group. At Studio Social, we’ll help with introductions, and the shared artwork gives you something to do together.
Is Anchor only for people who just moved to NYC?
No. Anchor is built around making it easier to meet people, whether you just arrived or have lived here for years.
How do I hear about future New York events?
Follow Anchor on Luma for new event announcements. Check each listing’s city and date, since Anchor also hosts gatherings in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
